The end client is a high-speed passenger rail system that operates a comprehensive rail network in the state, serving a diverse passenger base. Creating the supreme train riding experience with premium service and hospitality. With the gain in popularity, the company recognized the need to revamp its digital user experience to meet the evolving expectations of its passengers.

 

Challenges

Improving the digital user experience to match the physical onboard experience, especially after the pandemic, to accommodate the riders’ safety concerns by introducing the touchless and cashless system. The existing digital platforms had a complex and non-intuitive booking process, outdated schedules, and issues with real-time information. The solution had to work seamlessly across the platform:

  • Mobile app
  • Operating portals for the station master
  • Customer service agents portal

 

Solution

Сonducted an in-depth analysis, stakeholder interviews, and surveys to identify key improvement areas. There was a desire for a simplified booking process, real-time updates across all the platforms, and a seamless payment experience. Our dedicated team of experienced Ruby on Rails developers developed the process, which involved creating a responsive, user-friendly interface (website & mobile app), optimizing booking processes, and integrating real-time data sources for schedules and availability for different users.
